Upcoming Workshops:
Title: Reflecting selves and others. Making connections through images, words and movement. Immaginando l'altro. Ritrovarsi nelle immagini, parole e movimenti.
Date & Location: Saturday 17th August, from 10am to 5pm, N16, London, UK.
Blurb: This CPD is an experiential full day workshop that offers a combination of activities from art and drama & movement therapy to support our personal narrative through creative expression. Phototherapy serves to bridge the two disciplines by mapping our own journeys through photographic images. Is what we communicate with words truth or illusion?
How can we give space to the world within, to its symbols and metaphors?
The images, spoken words and expressive movement that emerge from this exploration will mirror our emotions and life experiences. Through this journey, participants will have the opportunity to tell and explore their creative potential, playing between verbal and non- verbal language.
In this workshop the group has the function of containing and supporting each other, while the central focus is pair work. Our partner is a silent witness making use of their imagination, perceptions and intuitions. By working in pairs, we find ways to reflect each other. This mirroring can help us to recall hidden parts of ourselves.
This is an experience in which various languages, both verbal and non-verbal, intertwine, creating possibilities for a new image of the self to emerge.
If you are interested in expanding your practice as a psychotherapist, counsellor, coach, arts therapist, bodyworker, artist or you are looking for a full immersion in self-care and self-discovery this workshop can be for you. I am happy to arrange a one-to- one video connection with you to discuss more and find out together if this CPD would be right for you. Contact + Registration: samuelerusso@gmail.com
